The CTP program is tailored for pest control professionals seeking to enhance their skills without the need for an advanced degree. It focuses on practical expertise in Integrated Pest Management (IPMC) and is ideal for those looking to elevate their professional capabilities.
Applicant Requirements:
- Eligibility to apply restricted-use pesticides in your jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable pest management experience.
- Completion of an online IPM knowledge test.
- Two professional reference letters.
- Application fee covering certification and examination.
- Commitment to uphold the CTP Code of Ethics.
Fee PKR 25,000/-
- Duration of course – 14 Days.
- Include two tea’s and Lunch/Day.
- Traveling and boarding not included.
Certified IPM Entomologist
(CIE)
The CIE certificate is designed for professionals managing pests that pose health risks, such as disease vectors. This certification is crucial for career advancement and competitive positioning in the pest management industry.

Certified Associate Entomologist
(CAE)
The CAE certification represents the pinnacle of professional recognition in entomology, offering career advancement opportunities for those in the pest management industry.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience for individuals with a PhD in entomology or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience for individuals with a master’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience for individuals with a bachelor’s degree.
- Proof of passing relevant examinations.
- Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to a strict code of ethics.
These certifications ensure that pest management professionals meet industry standards and maintain a high level of expertise and ethical practice.

Exam Information
CIT Examination Overview
- Format: The CTP exam is a “closed book” online assessment, proctored in-person.
- Questions: 150 questions to be completed within 3 hours.
- Allowed Materials: Basic calculator (no smartphone apps or programmable calculators), one sheet of writing paper, and a pen or pencil (submitted to the proctor after the exam).
- Scheduling: Exam dates must be communicated to pmcertification.pk with at least 10 days’ notice if not included in the initial application. Weekly schedules and login credentials are provided to both the proctor and the applicant.
- Preparation: The Certification Board recommends at least 40 hours of self-study, regardless of industry experience. Study resources are available on the CTP resources page.
Exam Content
The exam assesses competency across five knowledge domains:
- Inspection and Monitoring: 30% of the exam
- Identification: 30% of the exam
- Control (Management): 20% of the exam
- Evaluation: 15% of the exam
- Documentation: 5% of the exam
- By Law & Regulation: 5% of the exam
